Bulky Item Pick Up

For large items or bulky yard waste, the City of Longview offers a free service called Bulky Item Pick-up, to all residential customers. Collection or an extra trash pick-up can be requested by calling 903-237-1250. See the Landfill section for more information about other large and bulky item disposal options.

Items that can be collected as part of Bulky Item Service:

• Furniture
• Carpet (Installed/removed by home owner)
• Lawn Equipment (mowers, weed eaters)
• Appliances (washers, dryers stoves etc.)
• Brush (only large branches over 3 ft and no longer that 10 ft) (Branches under 3 ft should be bundled for regular garbage collection.

Items that can NOT be collected:

• No Loose Garbage, Bulky Waste Only
• Hazardous Materials
• Dirt, rock or sand
• Glass
• Construction Materials
• Demolition Waste
• Concrete
• Pallets
• Ceramic Tile
• Sheet Rock
• Roofing Materials
• Any materials resulting from contractual work or commercial activities
• Fencing
• Refrigerant Containing Items (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning units etc.)

Please place all bulky items parallel to the road for collection

There is a four (4) yard limit per pick-up.  Additional waste can be collected for a nominal fee.
